After some mechanical issues with this bike it needed to have a new clutch basket fitted. Very unusual for a bike of this age but I do not know how it happened anyway. No matter, a new one was needed so I went about finding the right one for this XSR900. Upon checking Yamaha schematics, I found the right one. Looking on Webike to see if these were in stock or needed to be ordered and was surprised to find they had 2 in stock in another warehouse. Happy days. The price from Webike was more than half the price of what my local Yamaha dealer could give, even better news. So, without delaying, I placed my order. I use EMS and can basically guarantee my order will arrive in less than 7 days. This was true for this order too which makes me happy. The clutch basket arrived and was neatly packaged inside the outer box. It was also inside the Yamaha factory box so it was well protected against any sort of damage. Now, this is not a particularly exciting part but it does need to be good. The basket is very well cast and is aluminium based. The cast marks are very minimal which is good and shows true quality from Yamaha. There were virtually no sharp or even slightly sharp edges and this made me and my hands happy. I did also have to purchase new bearings for this refit but I got those with this order too so I could crack on straight away. The clutch plates were ok from the old basket so they did not need replacing. Fitting was not too difficult and all was back together in a few hours. New oil added and warmed the bike up before taking for a test ride. All went well and I al=m pleased that this bike is back on the road once again. Thank you Webike, great work
