High-spec Engine Mounted On Balanced Chassis: ZEPHYR1100 Custom
Shabon Dama's ZEPHYR1100
The Zephyr 1100, with exciting red flake paint job, was thoroughly customized not only improve performance but also ride comfort. The 1258cc engine is equipped with Moriwaki Φ80mm pistons and Yoshimura ST-2 camshaft, porting, surface grinding, and balancing have all been done to produce strong power and torque. The exhaust is a Shabondama product, and even when installed on a tuned engine. The Front and Rear Wheels are 17" Gale Speed Type-S Wheels for sporty handling. The Triple tree is an Active variable offset type, which allows the rider to change the setting according to his/her preference and usage conditions. The Front fork is the Hyper Pro, which does not change its attitude to an extreme degree even when braking and can be used in a wide range of situations from street to circuit, and the Rear Shock is the Hyper Pro as well as the front. The Rear Shock absorbers are also Hyper Pro, as is the Front Shock absorber. The color of the springs was specially ordered to match the color of the Bike body. The swingarm is a press-formed type made by Active. Brembo Calipers, Gale Speed Φ320mm rotors, and other high-performance Brake parts were used to achieve not only high power but also high control. Safe and sure braking is now possible. Carbon Dry Pro-Tech, which bakes and laminates carbon onto metal surfaces, has been applied to the Frame to increase frame rigidity, and the effect can be felt not only at high speeds but also in tight corners at low speeds. The Clip-on Handlebars allow the rider to focus on the front load, while Mccoy's rearset and Supreme seat spleen shape were also thoroughly pursued. The riding position never feels cramped.
Bodyworks
Mccoy Bikini cowl was installed to give it a Z1R-like look. The clip-on handlebars create a sporty position, and even large riders do not feel cramped.
The stance of the chassis has been reconstructed with the addition of 17" Front and Rear Wheels. The Carbon Side Covers, Fenders, and Tail Cowl are Shabondama originals. The Wheels are finished in two-tone color.
The metal flake paint finish gives it a strong individuality. No compromises were made in the paint, including the pinstripes on various parts and the edging on the tank.
The Side Covers and Tail Cowl are carbon type made of Shabondama. The shading of the paint brings out the eyes of the carbon, creating a sense of high quality.
Engine
The Engine, finished in black, is fitted with a Coworth Skeleton Engine Cover to emphasize its mechanical image. The window is decorated with a bubbles logo.
The Engine is now 1,258㏄ with Moriwaki Φ80mm Pistons.Using Yoshimura ST-2 Camshafts , and porting, surface grinding, and balancing were all part of the menu for a significant increase in power.
Intake & Exhaust
The Exhaust was released by Shabondama this year, and was thoroughly pursued not only for its performance but also for its looks. It sharpens the style of the Zephyr 1100.
Mikuni TMR Φ38mm Carburetor is used for smooth rpm rise and good transient characteristics. we removed the air cleaner and mounted the air funnel.
The auxiliary equipment is also well designed. A Plasma Booster unit is set behind the Carburetor. Other famous parts such as the T-REV are used throughout.
Handle
The clip-on handle is mounted low, allowing the rider to actively apply load to the front. The handlebar is one-off made and is also fitted with a lever guard.
Chassis
The Frame is not reinforced by welding, but Carbon Dry-tech is used to burn and laminate carbon on the surface to achieve rigidity that can withstand high-power engines.
Mccoy was chosen for the rearset. The rearset is well matched with the handlebars and seat position, and contributes greatly to creating a good riding position. The operability and rigidity are good, and the appearance is also good.
Active made Press-formed Swingarms are used for rigidity in the longitudinal direction and suppleness in the lateral direction. The Rear shock is a Hyper Pro made, as is the Front one.
The front consists of Hyper Pro forks and a variable offset brackets. Brakes are a combination of Gale Speed Φ320mm rotors and Brembo Racing Calipers.
The wheels are Gale Speed Type S. They are two-tone anodized aluminum and painted to match the body image. The Rear Brakes consist of Brembo and Φ250mm diameter rotors.
